Robert Williford

Robert is an entrepreneur. He has built both residential and commercial properties as owner builder. He has been involved in renewable energy for 15 years. He designed and installed a complete “off grid” wind and solar energy system to self sustain the energy requirements of East Sister Rock Island. East Sister Rock Island became one of the first such properties to be powered completely by renewable energy sources. Robert brings many years of experience in business, designing, building, installing and maintaining properties and systems. He is a good communicator with hands on experience that make him an invaluable trusted instructor for our workshops.

Jay S. Greenbaum

Jay has been involved in eco-energy and ecological concerns for some time. While majoring in marine biology/oceanography at the University of Miami, he worked on developing wave-generating technology to produce electrical energy from the constant movement of the sea. Shortly after college Jay researched the possibilities of marine aqua-culture to farm shrimp in Florida, and restore abalone populations in California. Jay was instrumental in working with local and municipalities, State and Federal Agencies to establish artificial reef projects in Florida and California. Jay also produces Biodiesel by reconstituting the used vegetable oil from area restaurants and is exploring the cultivation of algae as a renewable crop for biofuel production. He is an informative educator and respected as a leader and innovator. He brings a high level of business expertise, engineering knowledge, and understanding of marine systems.

Jorge Evelio Usma

Jorge is a graduate from Technological University of Pereira in Columbia. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Jorge is also a teacher of physics, has taught electricity, Ecology, machinery, and renewable energy including wind and solar. His teaching expertise, experience with renewal energy, and preparing and conducting wind and solar seminars is a tremendous asset to our program.

J. Mikael Kaul, AIA

Mikael is a graduate of Cornel University with a Masters in Architecture and a registered architect in Florida. His projects utilize energy saving products and his designs employ concepts and materials for efficient energy management. He is a respected educator in his field and is a featured teacher and guest lecturer at Universities and a architecture programs in the States and abroad. Mike is also a former recipient of a research grant for the study of solar collection and heat retention. He is a valuable asset to our team and has made his services available as needed.
